Support for skills training for growth
Funding will be provided to support training for young people in labour-market relevant areas, helping them improve their prospects and contribute to growth in their countries and region. Training will include an on-the-job or internship practical component and will be relevant to the needs of employers and in sectors with good economic or growth potential, for example renewable energy, tourism and construction. Eligible job-seekers will receive direct training, and firms will be able to apply for staff training support, according to specified criteria. They will also be encouraged to take on additional staff.
